Hi, I’m Jack, a third-year arts student at Western University, where I am working towards a dual degree in creative writing and film studies. I am skilled in content production, with a passion for writing and video production.

I love to build my own worlds, reveal character through dialogue, and uncover the depths of fictional stories. Sci-fi and fantasy take up much of my brain’s space, exploring the unknown and the unimagined. Just to keep readers and watchers on their toes, I also find myself delving into the unexpected. Humour and surrealism in comedy are another favourite genre for me.
Growing up as an athlete and living in Toronto, a city filled with professional teams all around, the story of sport has become another one of my passions. Specifically, content tailored around the NBA, with analysis and discussions of legacy and the path one takes to be great. Writing and video production within these topics is another focus of mine.
If any of these topics interest you, please find examples of my work in the Videos and Writing sections. If you wish to contact me, find my socials below. Thanks for visiting!
I enjoy using colour, sound, and framing to make a video engaging and worthwhile for viewers. Mixing, matching, and balancing these elements to find what works is a challenge I love to embrace. I am able to edit on a number of platforms, and can quickly adapt to whichever I’m needed to use. The one I primarily use and am most skilled at is Premiere Pro. I create videos primarily for YouTube, with most longer-form productions going there. I also create shorter, highly edited videos on Instagram.

Writing is my foremost skill and continued primary focus. Throughout my years of schooling across High School and University, in classes and relevant clubs, I have honed my craft and ability to produce edited works. In my free time I further refined my toolbox and found fervour for a specific set of formats and genres. Using Final Draft software I build feature length and episodic screenplays. My prose fiction ranges from short stories to longer form narrative works. Moving past just fiction, I write articles about topics that pique my interest under JLO’s Thoughts. Each format offers different compositions that I continue to explore.
